Conditions of participation

1. By submitting comments, pictures and posts, participants consent to the publication of their name and place of residence (e-mail addresses won’t be published).
2. My DW reserves the right to edit or shorten submissions for editorial purposes. Please note that the comments posted are the views and opinion of our users and do not in any way represent the views or opinions of the management and staff of DW.
3. Should you quote prominent people, magazines, books, etc., please clearly attribute the source. When quoting from copyrighted material, ensure that you have the legal right to do so. If you are unsure whether or not you have the right, it is better to refrain from quoting copyrighted material.
4. By sending this information, the participants also consent to Deutsche Welle to save their details for the purposes of customer care and marketing. Data will not be passed on to third parties.
5. Deutsche Welle reserves the right to change or correct the conditions or to suspend and/or cease the project at any time without notice.
   
   Conditions relating to competitions:
6. The My DW projects are open to everyone except Deutsche Welle employees. The participation of minors (under the age of 18) is only acceptable with the consent from the child’s parents/guardians. All participants are allowed one entry.
7. There is only one entry allowed per participant. Only entries that are complete and correct will be considered.
8. A publically visible Instagram profile is required in order to be eligible to participate in DW competitions and prize contests taking place on Instagram.
9. No recourse to legal action.
